There are hundreds of photographers to choose from these days, so when you book a family portrait session with me I don’t take it lightly; I go the extra mile to ensure you’re well taken care of. We have A LOT of fun and keep it casual so everyone is comfortable, allowing me to capture all of YOU at your best.
Once you book your session you have the option of meeting with me in person to sort out the details of your family portrait session. This can be done over the phone for those of you who are super busy, however, I highly recommend making the time to come to my studio for a short meeting. Why?
It gives us a chance to get to know each other a bit. I’m intense and work hard to keep things on track, but I’m also very laid back and have a lot of patience—knowing this helps you to feel more at ease during our session. We’ll also talk about outfits, location options (in-studio, downtown, or at a park), and you’ll have a chance to see available products making decisions easier after our session.
THE PHOTO SESSION
A family portrait session takes about one to 1.5 hours. During these sessions I take photos of the whole family together, each child separate, siblings, each parent with children, and just the parents. I also take some fun photos of all the goofiness that goes on behind the scenes; siblings teasing one another, dad tossing Billy in the air, mom consoling Suzy after she trips and falls—these are special moments that you’ll want to remember forever.
About two weeks after your session we’ll get together in person to view your images for the first time. Your images are displayed on a large flat screen TV. We’ll go through them one by one, discussing options for displaying your photos in your home. There are several options available to accommodate everyone; large photographic prints, gallery wraps, photo albums, and folio boxes containing matted photographic prints. Digital files are also available for those of you who enjoy DIY projects.
